Judge Dugan Charged and Temporarily Relieved Following FBI Arrest

Here we go again — another proud moment in the Democrat-led judiciary, this time starring none other than Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan, who apparently thought her black robe came with an invisible cape. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t. It does, however, come with responsibilities — like, oh I don’t know, not obstructing federal agents or turning your courtroom into a halfway house for illegal immigrants.

Let’s paint the picture. The FBI arrests a sitting judge for allegedly helping a deported, repeat-offender illegal immigrant named Eduardo Flores-Ruiz avoid federal custody. According to the criminal complaint, Flores-Ruiz had been kicked out of the country back in 2013. He didn’t stroll back through the front gate — no passport, no visa, no process. But he somehow ends up in a Wisconsin courtroom facing three battery charges stemming from a recent brawl. Sounds like a guy we should be fast-tracking to a Southwest Airlines seat back to Mexico, not protecting behind courthouse walls.

But Judge Dugan — a tenured liberal darling with a nearly decade-long record on the bench — had other plans. When she was told that two plainclothes ICE agents were waiting outside with a warrant, she didn’t follow the law. She didn’t pause for one second to consider the victims sitting in her courtroom or the public safety implications. No, instead she threw a judicial tantrum, got “angry,” and allegedly escorted Flores-Ruiz and his lawyer through a restricted back exit meant for jurors and in-custody defendants. You can’t make this stuff up.

Let’s not gloss over the fact that this wasn’t a misunderstanding. The charging documents say she misdirected the agents, confronted them, tried to get them removed, and then quietly ushered Flores-Ruiz out a secret door — all while bypassing the prosecutor, who was sitting right there in court. It’s not obstruction light — it’s obstruction with intent, backed by decades of legal training. This wasn’t her first time in a courtroom. She knew exactly what she was doing.

The kicker? Flores-Ruiz didn’t just disappear into the Wisconsin wilderness. He fled. On foot. That’s right, ICE had to literally chase him down like it was an episode of “Cops.” Thankfully, they caught him. But this woman’s alleged actions turned a courtroom into a launchpad for a fugitive. A judge — someone we’re supposed to trust with interpreting and applying the law — allegedly decided the law was optional. Apparently, she saw herself less as a judge and more as a one-woman sanctuary city.

And how does the system respond? With a temporary suspension. Not termination. Not a full-blown censure. No, she’s benched “until further order of the court,” but don’t worry — she’s still cashing her $170,000 salary on your dime. Try pulling that kind of stunt at your job and see how long HR takes to escort you out.

Now her legal team is acting shocked, shocked, that she was arrested at all. “Not in the interest of public safety,” they say. Maybe if they’d bothered to read the part about the violent charges and the fleeing suspect, they’d understand why law enforcement got involved. This wasn’t about a parking ticket. This was about a judge using her position to allegedly shield a criminal from federal arrest.

Let’s be honest: if this were a conservative judge helping ICE agents round up criminals, MSNBC would be on a 72-hour meltdown loop. But when it’s a liberal judge helping an illegal immigrant dodge arrest? Crickets, or worse — excuses.

Judge Dugan is facing up to 15 years behind bars. If the justice system actually works the way it claims to, she’ll have plenty of time to reflect — not from the bench, but from a cell. And maybe, just maybe, next time someone’s tempted to put ideology above the law, they’ll think twice. Because this country can’t afford judges who treat the bench like a soapbox and federal warrants like suggestions.
