A passer-by recently managed to take pictures of the menu screens being tested at the new location, giving us a glimpse of what CosMc’s might have in store. While it’s unclear if the menus were simply dummy placeholders or the real deal, they reveal an array of items including iced teas, lemonades, slushies, sandwiches, and smaller bites.
Some of the items that caught people’s attention include the Churro Frappe, Turmeric Spiced Latte, and Blueberry Ginger Boost. The menu also includes an assortment of sandwiches like the Spicy Queso and Sausage McMuffin.
Based on the menu, it’s been speculated that CosMc’s will be an extension of McDonald’s already existing McCafe menu, making it a potential rival to popular chains like Starbucks.
The new chain’s name, CosMc, comes from a mascot that was popular in McDonald’s adverts back in the 80s and 90s. CosMc was an alien from outer space with a love for McDonald’s French fries, and he appeared in adverts from 1986 to 1992.
Details about CosMc’s have been kept under wraps, but fans of the Golden Arches are already excited about the new venture. One user on social media wrote, ‘Suspense is killing me,’ while another said, ‘Lookout Starbucks, here comes CosMc’s.’ However, some users were unimpressed with the potential menu, with one writing, ‘I feel like I need to brush my teeth just looking at that sugary drinks menu.’
There is still no official opening date for CosMc’s, and it’s uncertain if it will expand to other locations, including the UK.
