Two Navy SEALs are missing and presumed dead after being washed into the unforgiving waters of the Somali coast off the Horn of Africa.

At approximately 10 pm on Thursday, two of America’s finest warriors were on a fateful mission to intercept illegal weapons on a dhow ship when they fell into the dark and treacherous waters. The SEALs, both attached to the elite Naval Special Warfare command unit, were searching for weapons used by Somali militants who have been terrorizing American ships in the Gulf of Aden.

According to sources within the Department of Defense, the SEALs were attempting to board the enemy ship, known as a dhow, when they were washed overboard into the choppy, rough seas by a massive wave. In an act of heroism that anyone would expect from these brave men, one SEAL jumped in to rescue the other, but they both disappeared into the inky darkness of the night. Search and rescue operations were immediately launched but have been unsuccessful thus far.

This harrowing tale of tragedy is now entering its fourth day, with no sign of the brave Navy SEALs who gave their lives in service to their country. The SEALs were an integral part of the international mission to protect shipping from attacks by Yemen’s Houthi terrorists, who are determined to destroy the state of Israel and have been regularly launching attacks on international ships in the Red Sea.

Just yesterday, it was reported that a U.S. fighter jet was forced to take down an anti-ship cruise missile fired at an American destroyer from areas in Yemen controlled by the Houthis, who are backed by Iran and support the radical terrorist organization Hamas. This is the latest in a string of provocative and dangerous actions by the Houthis, who have been emboldened by the weak foreign policy of the Biden administration.

The loss of these two brave Navy SEALs serves as a reminder of the ongoing dangers that our military and their families face daily. It is a shame that the actions of the previous administration have put our servicemen and women in such perilous situations. It is time for strong leadership and a tougher stance on terrorism to protect our brave men and women in uniform.

The families of these two SEALs are still waiting for answers and praying for the safe return of their loved ones, despite the grim reality that they may never receive them. The outpouring of support and love from the American people has been overwhelming, as a nation mourns the possible loss of two of its greatest heroes.

The Department of Defense has stated that they will not release any further information until the missing personnel have been recovered, out of respect for their families.
