A massive manhunt is underway for 28-year-old Austin Robert Drummond, the suspect in a brutal quadruple homicide in Tiptonville, Tennessee — a case that unraveled after a baby was found abandoned in a car seat on the front lawn of a stranger’s home.

Authorities say James M. Wilson, 21; Adrianna Williams, 20; Cortney Rose, 38; and Braydon Williams, 15, were all murdered in what officials are now calling a “targeted attack,” according to Fox News.

“It was a targeted attack,” said Danny Goodman Jr., attorney general for the 29th Judicial District of Tennessee, during an appearance on “Fox & Friends.” “We don’t think there’s a need for the community to be concerned, as far as it being some type of random act or anything like that.”

Goodman confirmed that the four victims were family members of Drummond’s current girlfriend. Rose and Adrianna were half-sisters, and Braydon and James were her niece and nephew.

The chilling case came to light when a concerned citizen reported seeing a baby left on the lawn of a “random” home, prompting a 911 call.

“The call came in on [Tuesday] about the baby being dropped on the side of the road,” Goodman said. “Once that call came in, then obviously the first thing we started to do was look for the parents of the child.”

Authorities posted a photo of the infant on Facebook, which led to the identification of the victims and eventually connected the child — who is related to all four of the deceased — to the crime.

Now, law enforcement officials are warning the public to be on high alert. Drummond is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 190 pounds, with brown hair, blue eyes, and a goatee.

Drummond was last believed to be driving a 2016 Audi A3 with Tennessee license plate RI 01896, and damage to the driver’s side. However, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has since located the car in Jackson, Tennessee — but Drummond was not inside.

A law enforcement source told Fox News Digital that Drummond is still believed to be in Tennessee.

Adding to the outrage, Goodman revealed that Drummond was previously convicted of armed robbery at age 17. Even more disturbing — he was released from prison despite having pending attempted murder charges while incarcerated.

“We have strong evidence that we know this is the person who was at the scene,” Goodman said, adding that the TBI is following several leads in the ongoing search.

Drummond is now wanted for first-degree murder, kidnapping, four counts of a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

“This is a deeply saddening day for our community,” said Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box. “We are committed to uncovering the truth and ensuring justice is served.”

Anyone with information on Austin Drummond’s whereabouts is urged to call the Dyer County Police Department at (731)-285-2802 or 1-800-TBI-FIND.
