In the week following the U.S. presidential election, Elon Musk has kept himself firmly in the political spotlight, using his platform, X (formerly Twitter), to voice support for President-elect Donald J. Trump. Now, Dems and left wing media personalities are leaving the site because they are upset with the social media company.
Enter Bluesky, a platform that’s quietly been positioning itself as the alternative for users claiming to be a less volatile environment. Originally conceived in 2019 by Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, Bluesky had its share of growth spurts since Musk’s controversial takeover of Twitter in 2022. But now, it’s experiencing a surge unlike any before. Over a million users flocked to the platform in just one week after the election, according to Bluesky spokeswoman Emily Liu. She noted that this influx was particularly notable in the United States, Canada, and Britain, with engagement metrics soaring.
It’s an echo chamber of leftism where they can spew their thoughts about Trump and his supporters in their own little safe space.
Prominent figures are joining the migration. Celebrities like rapper Flavor Flav and author John Green, along with Democratic politicians such as Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Chasten Buttigieg, are setting up shop on Bluesky. Billionaire Mark Cuban, known for absolutely humiliating himself on X during the elction, summed up the sentiment with his post, “Hello Less Hateful World.”
You’ll notice the platform looks just like Twitter.
So what else is going on there?
A lot and I mean A LOT of cat posts that pretty much prove JD Vance’s claims about liberals and cats.
They are also organizing and getting their groups together to call out censorship, hopefully without the rest of the world realizing it.
They are already looking for people on the platform they don’t like and trying to get their accounts blocked.
They have already started creating lists!
What’s really funny too is that they are posting screen shots of Twitter posts so they can complain about them. LOL!
Folks, it’s really something to watch and you don’t even need an account to check it out.
