According to dependable Fox News, Scott Swift is being accused of assaulting Australian photographer Ben McDonald early Tuesday morning. The alleged assault occurred at the wharf in Sydney where Swift and his daughter’s entourage were unloading.
Police have been very tight-lipped about the entire situation, but insiders have revealed that two individuals were being aggressive and threatening towards Taylor Swift and her team.
In a statement to Fox News, a spokesperson for the singer said “Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water.” Given this type of behavior, it’s surprising the “Bad Blood” singer isn’t caught up in this cross-continental legal mess.
However, the victim of the alleged altercation has a different story. He told the Daily Mail that the entire situation was caught on camera and clearly shows he wasn’t being aggressive.
He claims he was just taking pictures of the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer when her father got involved and “decided to add to the mix and throw a punch in.” Swift’s dad might have just been trying to protect his daughter, as any father would, but the photographer says he didn’t suffer any serious injuries, just “very sore chops.”
