The U.S. Senate confirmed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be President Donald Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The vote, 52-48, on Thursday, means Kennedy will oversee “agencies that administer Medicare and Medicaid, guard against infectious disease, conduct medical research, and regulate food and medicine,” per The New York Times.
Per the NYT, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was the only Republican to vote “no” for Kennedy.
