Here we are again — one step closer to sleepwalking into World War III while the global elite sit comfortably at their roundtables, sipping mineral water and congratulating themselves for the chaos they’ve enabled. Russia has just unleashed one of the largest missile and drone attacks since the war began, raining down 452 projectiles across Ukraine and killing at least three people — possibly more, depending on which Ukrainian official you believe. But sure, let’s keep pretending this isn’t spiraling into something far bigger than anyone in Washington seems willing to admit.
The barrage came just days after Ukraine managed to hit a third of Russia’s strategic cruise missile carriers, in an operation so bold it practically dared Putin to respond. And boy, did he. More than 400 drones, 40 missiles, entire swaths of Ukraine targeted, from Lviv to Sumy. Civilians killed, apartment buildings flattened, and the world once again waiting to see whether Moscow’s “retaliation” stops here or escalates into something that drags us all in for good.

And where’s the leadership? What are we doing to stop this endless tit-for-tat from becoming the fuse that lights a nuclear powder keg? President Trump, to his credit, has supported the Istanbul peace talks, which at least gave the illusion that someone was trying to put this fire out. But after his recent call with Putin, there’s a real question whether this administration is committed to containing this conflict or just waiting to see who lands the next punch. Comparing this war — one involving nuclear-capable bombers and civilian massacres — to two kids fighting in a park? It’s unsettling. No, scratch that — it’s unacceptable.

We don’t need metaphors. We need action. Not more military aid, not more sanctions, not another round of diplomatic chess moves that only delay the inevitable. We need someone — anyone — to put real pressure on both Kyiv and Moscow to end this war before it draws American troops into another endless conflict, this time against a nuclear-armed adversary. Haven’t we learned anything from the last twenty years of foreign entanglements? Or is the plan just to keep marching toward the edge of the cliff until it’s too late to turn around?
The media continues to paint this as a morality play — good Ukraine vs. evil Russia — while ignoring the increasingly dangerous reality on the ground. Ukraine is no longer just defending itself. It’s striking deep into Russian territory, blowing up bomber fleets and bridges with literal tons of explosives. Russia, in turn, is laying waste to entire cities. And somehow we’re supposed to believe this is sustainable?
What is happening with @realDonaldTrump and @JDVance ? Lindsey Graham goes to Keiv, meets with Zelenskyy and two days later Ukraine strikes Russian nuclear bombers. Let’s be clear: if this continues, the odds of a “limited” war staying limited are vanishing fast. The longer this conflict drags on, the greater the chance of miscalculation, escalation, and a crisis that goes global. And when that happens, it’s not going to be think tank analysts or social media pundits who pay the price — it’s going to be our soldiers, our families, and our national security.
Republicans have long warned against the dangers of unchecked foreign interventionism, and this is a textbook case of why. We need strong leadership that isn’t afraid to say the obvious: this war must end — and it must end now. Before one more city is reduced to rubble. Before more innocent people die. And before America is dragged into a fight that no one — not even the warmongers in Washington — is prepared to win.
