Democratic Candidate for SC Governor Arrested at Home

Well, here we go again, folks — another day, another Democrat unraveling on camera, this time half-naked, high on something, and claiming to be both God and Superman.

No, this isn’t a parody skit. It’s real dashcam footage out of South Carolina. And the star? William “Mullins” McLeod, the Democrats’ freshly announced — and now deeply embarrassing — pick for governor.

You can’t make this up. Just 24 hours after officially launching his campaign, out comes an hour-long video of the 53-year-old attorney being arrested in nothing but underwear and shoes, screaming profanities, throwing around the N-word twice, and threatening to knock out the Republican AG’s teeth. Who needs primaries when your opponent self-immolates on video before the race even begins?

But let’s not rush to laugh just yet. Let’s pause and let it sink in: This man, a married father of four, didn’t just have a “bad night.” He launched into a profanity-laced tirade so unhinged, police suspected narcotics were involved. He refused to tell officers his name — because apparently God and Superman don’t need identification.

That’s right. At one point, when an officer asked for his name, he replied, “It doesn’t matter, my friend, trust me… I’m one of the most just humans to ever walk this soil.” Later, he adds: “Superman sounds good.”

No, this is not satire. This is who the South Carolina Democrats thought was a good idea to lead their party. Until, of course, the footage dropped — then suddenly they were “concerned for his emotional well-being.” Right.

Let’s rewind just a second. This man didn’t just embarrass himself. He threatened elected officials. He referenced his own upcoming campaign while screaming in the street like a deranged lunatic. He refused to exit the patrol car, declaring it was “time to go to bed.” And yes, that’s before he was physically dragged into jail. These are not the actions of a man having a rough day. This is a man unraveling — in public, on police video, in real-time — while allegedly under the influence.

And you know what’s wild? He’s still technically in the race. As of now, he’s the only declared Democrat running. Which begs the question: Is this the best they’ve got? Because if so, they’re in for one hell of a general election.

Naturally, the state’s Democratic Party is now scrambling. Party Chair Christale Spain issued a statement practically begging him to step aside — citing his need to focus on his “mental and emotional well-being.” Which, honestly, feels like code for “please stop talking before you take the whole party down with you.”

The guy has a history too — he ran for governor back in 2010, served as chair of the Charleston County Democratic Party, and yet here he is, swearing up a storm, self-identifying as a superhero, and refusing to even give his name to cops. Not exactly a confidence booster.

Here’s where the emotional whiplash really kicks in: This isn’t a rogue candidate some fringe group pushed forward. This is the guy. The Democrats’ pick. Their future of leadership in South Carolina. And he’s out here talking about kicking in Republican teeth while shirtless and tweaking.

Meanwhile, the media? Crickets. If this were a Republican, CNN would be live-streaming panel reactions with 17 therapists diagnosing him on-air. But a Democrat? Suddenly, it’s a “health crisis” and “he deserves privacy.”

Nope. Sorry. You don’t get to campaign for the highest office in the state, threaten political opponents, invoke the Almighty, and toss around racial slurs — then expect everyone to look the other way. Not when it’s all caught on video.

So buckle up. Because if this is how the 2026 race is starting, South Carolina is about to host the political circus of the decade. Just one question: When your only candidate is a guy who thinks he’s Superman… who’s going to save your party from crashing into the ground?
