At 6′ 8,″ Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) is used to turning heads when he walks into a room.

The same held true Monday when he attended Trump’s inauguration wearing his signature hoodie and shorts, while many other men in attendance donned the usual suit and tie, per a report in People.

Even though that is Fetterman’s usual garb, his attire still drew attention as the 55-year-old senator sat in the front row in the Capitol Rotunda.

Fetterman caught the eye of CBS reporter Scott MacFarlane as he arrived at the venue.

“Wind chill in the teens… as Sen John Fetterman (D-PA) arrives at Capitol in shorts,” MacFarlane posted on X.

Fetterman’s appearance has been the subject of controversy as many deem it inappropriate for a senator.

However, Fetterman has defended his wardrobe and had an op-ed published by NBC News in September 2022, when he wrote about the meaning behind some of his tattoos.

Fetterman wrote the nine tattoos on his right forearm symbolize “a day on which someone died violently while I was mayor of Braddock.”

The opinions posted on X ranged from Fetterman being a disgrace to him just being himself.
