Gavin Newsom Comments on Trump

Gavin Newsom just warned America that Donald Trump is going to run for president again in 2028 — and no, this isn’t satire, it’s just California.

At a press conference that was supposed to be about redistricting, Newsom went full doomsday prophet, claiming Trump will rig the 2028 election, destroy democracy, and somehow crown himself the first three-term president in U.S. history. Why? Because someone mailed him a “Trump 2028” hat. That’s it. That’s the evidence. A novelty hat from a Trump fan — and suddenly it’s the Reichstag fire.

This is the guy running America’s largest state.

And while he was mid-ramble about authoritarianism and election rigging, Border Patrol — doing what Newsom refuses to do — arrested someone just outside the venue. You’d think that’d be a moment of gratitude for enforcing the law. Nope. Instead, Newsom practically accused Border Patrol of staging a political ambush.

He called it “sick and pathetic.” Then, without a shred of proof, claimed it was “top-down” and orchestrated by Trump himself. So now the former president is apparently dispatching border agents by remote control from Mar-a-Lago?

These are not the words of a man calmly governing. These are the tantrums of a politician who knows he’s losing grip — on the narrative, on the map, and maybe even on reality.

But wait — it gets better. Just when you think the fearmongering is over, Newsom drops this gem: “You will not have a country if [Trump] rigs this election.” Yep, there it is. The big bad wolf again. Trump. The all-powerful boogeyman. If he wins, America ceases to exist, apparently.

No mention, of course, of the fact that he — Newsom — is literally trying to rewrite congressional districts to knock six Republican representatives out of their seats. Not by campaigning. Not by debating. By changing the lines. And oh yeah — before voters have even seen the new maps.

This isn’t democracy. It’s raw, unfiltered power politics.

He wants to take redistricting away from California’s independent commission and hand it to the state Legislature — which just so happens to be controlled by Democrats. Because apparently “protecting democracy” now means manipulating it until your party wins.

So let’s sum this up: Newsom’s out here warning about authoritarianism, crying that Trump might “rig” the system, while he’s literally laying the groundwork to gerrymander his way to a bigger House majority — all while blaming a Border Patrol arrest on a political hit job.

And people still take this guy seriously?

Even the LA mayor, Karen Bass, chimed in, insisting the arrest had to be intentional. “There is no way this was a coincidence!” she shouted. Because in their world, everything is a conspiracy — unless it’s them doing it. Then it’s justice. Or “restoring democracy.” Or whatever new buzzword they’re using this week.

Meanwhile, Border Patrol’s message was refreshingly honest: “We’re here making Los Angeles a safer place. Since we won’t have politicians that’ll do that, we did that ourselves.”

Let that one sink in, and maybe we should pay attention to what his own constituents are saying:

So what’s really going on here? A desperate political class is clinging to fear, fantasy, and redistricting maps to hold onto power — while projecting their worst behavior onto Trump. Again.

And they want you to think he’s the authoritarian?

Brace yourself. Because if this is how far they’re willing to go just to change a few congressional seats, imagine what they’ll try in 2028.
