In a startling revelation that has captured the attention of many, Dr. Shreedhara Somanath, the chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), has boldly declared his belief in the existence of aliens. According to Somanath, not only are extraterrestrial beings out there in the vast expanse of the universe, but they may have already visited Earth—and could return at any time.

During a recent interview on “The Ranveer Show,” hosted by Ranveer Allahbadia, Somanath did not mince words. “Absolutely, without a doubt,” he asserted when asked about the existence of aliens. “My conscience tells me yes, although I have no proof. As the chairman of ISRO, I am telling you this. There are definitely aliens out there in the universe.”

Somanath went on to explain his conviction that alien life forms, particularly those with advanced technology, could have already made contact with Earth. “Aliens mean living systems and cultures in other parts of the universe,” he elaborated. “If they are ahead in technology by just a thousand years, or 10,000 years, they would definitely visit us.” He added a provocative metaphor, suggesting that to these advanced beings, “our planet is like a zoo.” The idea that Earth could be under the watchful eye of more advanced civilizations is as intriguing as it is unsettling.

However, despite his belief in their existence, Somanath is not eager for a close encounter. “I would be happy to never be in contact with aliens,” he admitted. The ISRO chief voiced concerns about the potentially catastrophic consequences of such an interaction. He drew parallels to the interconnectedness of life on Earth, where all species—from plants and bacteria to fish, animals, and humans—share a common ancestry. But if life evolved on another planet, he warned, it might do so in a completely different way, with a potentially dangerous genomic or protein structure.

Somanath emphasized the inherent risks involved when two distinct life forms come into contact. “When two life forms come into contact, one has to dominate the other. This is the nature of life—one will not allow the other to survive; it must surpass and destroy the other,” he explained. His words carry a grim warning: unless these extraterrestrial beings understand the fundamental differences between their biology and ours, and choose to maintain a safe distance, the consequences could be disastrous.

Dr. Somanath gave a lot of insights but he never gave any evidence to his claims.
