Hollywood superstar Dwayne Johnson, also known as “The Rock” to his fans, is not ruling out a presidential run in the future. The 51-year-old actor and professional wrestler discussed the possibility of him running for president during Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

The topic of Johnson’s potential political career was first brought up when he appeared on Trevor Noah’s What Now? podcast last week. Johnson revealed that he was approached by political parties in 2022 to discuss a possible presidential bid. He also mentioned that a recent poll showed that almost 50 percent of Americans would support him if he were to run for president.

During his interview with Jimmy Fallon, Johnson called the experience “crazy” and “wild.” He expressed his disbelief at the fact that a few years ago he was wrestling in flea markets for only $40 per match, and now there is talk of him running for the highest office in the United States.

As he delved deeper into the subject, Johnson admitted that the idea of running for president has been on his mind for a while. However, he also pointed out that he is currently focusing on his family, which consists of his daughters Jasmine (7) and Tiana (5) with his wife, Lauren Hashian, and Simone (22) with his ex-wife Dany Garcia.

The actor, who is known for his roles in blockbuster action movies, stated that he is determined to be a devoted father this time around. He admitted that during his wrestling days, he was often away from his eldest daughter and did not want to repeat that with his younger kids.

“My 22-year-old, I like to say we grew up together. And at that time, I was wrestling full-time — 230 dates, 200 wrestling matches a year. So I was always gone,” Johnson shared with Fallon. “I know what that’s like to have an occupation that takes me away from being a daddy. And this time around, with my 7- and my 5-year-old, I want to be a daddy. And that’s the most important thing to me.”

In addition to discussing his potential political future, Johnson also spoke about his return to WWE wrestling and confirmed that he will be playing Maui in the upcoming live-action remake of Disney’s Moana.

It seems that no matter what path Johnson decides to take, he will have the full support of his loyal fan base. For now, the actor is taking things one day at a time and focusing on the most important role in his life – being a dad.
