In a shocking turn of events, an Amazon security guard was killed by police after attempting to kill his supervisor at an Ohio warehouse on Sunday. 22-year-old Ali Hamsa Yusuf had been working as a security guard trainee at an Amazon warehouse in West Jefferson, Ohio, when he fatally shot his supervisor, narrowly missing him.

According to police, Yusuf approached his supervisor from behind and held a gun to his head before pulling the trigger. Thankfully, the gun jammed, and Yusuf was able to clear it and shoot again, missing his target. The supervisor, who was unharmed, immediately called 911 to report the incident.

Yusuf then fled the scene and was later spotted in Columbus by Madison County authorities. A dramatic chase ensued, during which Yusuf also fired at a Columbus police officer. The officer, who was wearing a bulletproof vest, sustained minor injuries but was able to return fire. Yusuf was ultimately shot and killed by officers.

The motive behind Yusuf’s actions is currently unknown, and police are investigating the incident. It has been confirmed that Yusuf was not supposed to have a gun while on duty and had no known criminal history.

The shooting has left many questioning the protocols and training procedures for security guards at Amazon warehouses. The incident also raised concerns about workplace violence and the safety of employees.

The West Jefferson Police Chief, Brandon Smith, praised the quick response of his officers, who arrived at the scene within two minutes of receiving reports of an active shooter. He also praised the bravery of the Columbus police officer involved in the shootout, who sustained minor injuries but was able to protect himself with his bulletproof vest.

The Amazon warehouse where the initial shooting took place had over 100 employees inside at the time. Fortunately, no one else was injured during the incident.
