Hope Walz, the daughter of Minnesota governor and former running mate of Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, went on a social media rant over President Donald Trump‘s executive order banning transgender athletes from women’s sports.
“Signing an executive order that pertains to 1% of the population is not protecting women,” Hope Walz alleged during the video posted Saturday. “It’s setting a dangerous precedent, and it is dangerous for the trans community, women, minorities, anyone who is not a straight white man.”
Walz then said Trump and his administration are only banning trans athletes to gain “political points” before claiming the ban hurts minorities and women.
“We are talking about human beings and the President of the United States is targeting them, just because he thinks its gains him political points or whatever. Because this thing that he’s so worried about, it’s not real, it doesn’t affect the people he’s trying to protect, it hurts them,” she said.
Walz then said the “manly” men leading the country need to “mind their own business.”
She continued: “Like, seriously, I think some of us, a lot of us, need to open up a history book, because what this is, what’s going on right now, is textbook. Its textbook, and truly its boring, and its loser behavior. I have never felt unsafe around a trans person, I have felt unsafe around men. So maybe let’s deal with that. If these people that are in charge right now were really big strong manly leaders that they claim to be, they wouldn’t be doing things like this. They’d mind their own business, do what they need to do.”

According to Fox News, Walz then posted another rant on TikTok on Wednesday, and suggested that Trump‘s Cabinet members have “allegations,” but did not elaborate on who she was actually referring to.
“Transphobia and transphobes are so crazy to me because, like, the whole argument is, ‘Oh, we’re protecting women. We need to protect women.’ But then they turn around and vote for a literal felon, who, he himself as well as many of the people closest to him have credible allegations,” Walz said. “Like, the amount of people with credible allegations in the Cabinet is more than trans kids trying to play high school sports.”
As previously reported by Fox News, the United Nations has released a new study that found over 900 biological female athletes had missed medal placings because of transgender athletes involved in their respective sports.
