Forrie J. Smith, widely recognized for his role as Lloyd Pierce on the hit cowboy series “Yellowstone,” found himself in the midst of controversy yet again, this time involving a flight incident at a Houston, Texas airport. The actor took to Instagram, where he boasts a substantial following of half a million, to share his side of the story.

In the brief video, Smith recounted being asked to leave a plane because he expressed discomfort with sitting next to a passenger wearing a face mask.

“You know my social media people tell me that you like me face to face, but you know what I can’t say face to face what I want,” Smith expressed, clearly frustrated by the situation.

He went on to explain that despite indulging in a few drinks during his three-hour airport wait, he wasn’t intoxicated. However, he alleges that airline staff claimed otherwise, attributing his removal from the flight to intoxication rather than his stance on mask-wearing.

The specifics of the airline involved and the exact reasons for Smith’s removal remain unclear. Attempts to reach out to Smith’s representatives for comment by Fox News Digital were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.

This incident isn’t the first time Smith’s views on COVID-19 safety measures have stirred controversy. In 2022, he made headlines for missing the Screen Actor’s Guild awards due to his refusal to comply with the event’s strict vaccination protocols.

The awards required attendees to be not only vaccinated but also boosted and to provide a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of the show, in addition to wearing masks.

In a now-deleted Instagram video addressing his absence from the awards, Smith expressed his stance against vaccinations, citing a lifelong aversion to them.

“I will not get vaccinated. I haven’t been vaccinated since I was a little kid. I don’t vaccinate my dogs, I don’t vaccinate my horses. I’ve never had a flu shot. Never will. I believe they compromise your immunities,” he stated.
