Weatherman Faces Controversy Parking Lot Incident

Ladies and gentlemen, get ready for some jaw-dropping news out of Ohio! The state’s most well-known weatherman, Steve Raleigh, has completely disappeared from the public eye after a shocking road rage incident that left an elderly couple in a horrifying condition. Yes, you heard that right. The WCPO veteran forecaster has deleted his social media accounts and vanished after a crash involving his family’s Cadillac Escalade, driven by his son Carter, that ended with the elderly couple bleeding and unconscious.

The incident occurred when their Escalade collided with a Ford F-150, driven by 79-year-old Douglas Morrow, leaving him and his wife, 76-year-old Lois, seriously injured. Lois suffered a fractured skull, bleeding on the brain, and a detached retina. Talk about a nightmare scenario!

Pressure is mounting on the Cincinnati Police Department to explain why no arrests have been made since the June 22 incident. Adding more fuel to the fire, the Cadillac is owned by Raleigh’s father-in-law, former Hamilton County sheriff and attorney Simon L Leis, Jr. Are we seeing a case of special treatment here?

Stacey Morrow-Stickrod, the daughter of the injured couple, didn’t hold back her anger. She posted a video online, claiming, “These were locally famous people and in my opinion believe they are above the law. I 100 percent believe one more hit would have killed her.” Ouch! Those are some strong words.

Apparently, the situation escalated when Douglas Morrow decided to call the police after smelling alcohol, suspecting that the Raleigh family had been drinking. According to Stacey, this set off the Raleighs, leading to the violent confrontation.

Adding an unexpected twist to the story, former Red Sox legend Kevin Youkilis was caught up in the drama. He was in town for a broadcast and stumbled upon the scene, attempting to help the injured Morrows. Youkilis later took to Facebook to clarify that he was not with the Raleighs, saying, “Unfortunately, I was a little too late and saw a horrible chain of events unfold.”

The grainy footage of the incident shows a chaotic scene with a woman pleading for help and various voices shouting in distress. At one point, a man thought to be Steve Raleigh is seen over the injured couple, while Youkilis is shown trying to assist Lois Morrow. The video captures someone yelling, “You’re an embarrassment to that f***ing Red Sox brand,” directed at Youkilis.

Stacey thanked Youkilis in a Facebook update, calling him her mother’s “guardian angel” for stepping in during the attack. She expressed frustration that despite numerous witnesses, the only person who acted to help was Youkilis.

WCPO, the station where Raleigh worked, released a statement acknowledging the incident and stating that they are aware of the ongoing investigation. Jeff Brogan, WCPO vice president and general manager, noted that Raleigh’s account of the incident aligns with the police report and the reviewed video footage, which does not show the entire incident.

However, the public backlash has been intense, with thousands of comments on WCPO’s Facebook post demanding Raleigh be fired. One commenter wrote, “I guess there are some amongst us who are above the law after all. I’m done with WCPO!”

The Cincinnati Police Department report mentions that a male named Carter pushed another person and suggests that the assault suspect was under the influence of alcohol. Yet, no arrests have been made, and names in the incident report have been redacted. Lt. Jonathan Cunningham of the CPD stated that investigators are still working through the case.
