In a recent fundraising event, President Joe Biden made some shocking comments about Japan, one of our nation’s key allies.
The President compared Japan to Russia and China, accusing the country of economic stagnation caused by “xenophobia.” This insulting remark has not gone unnoticed, and Japanese politicians are firing back at Biden’s misinformed claims.
Biden’s statement is not only false but also incredibly disrespectful to one of our closest allies. Japan has been a vital partner to the United States, and for the President to lash out with baseless accusations is unacceptable. Mizuho Umemura, a member of the Nippon Ishin no Kai Party, rightly pointed out that immigration is a complex issue that few countries have truly solved. It is a problem that even the United States is struggling to address.

Furthermore, Biden’s comments about Japan’s immigration policies demonstrate a lack of understanding and respect for the country’s sovereignty. Both Umemura and Sohei Kamiya, leader of the Sansai Party, called out Biden for meddling in Japan’s internal affairs. As a nation that prides itself on democracy and independence, the United States should respect and support our ally’s right to determine their own immigration policies.
NEW: Biden says that US is prospering because of immigrants, unlike “xenophobic” Japan.

The President’s staff is now in damage control mode, trying to pass off Biden’s remarks as a form of praise for Japan’s contributions. However, it is clear that his words were an attempt to shame the country and push his own open-border agenda. National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby’s claim that the United States is a nation of immigrants and it’s in our DNA does not negate the fact that Biden insulted Japan’s immigration policies.
Karine Jean-Pierre also failed to provide a clear explanation for Biden’s derogatory statements. Instead, she stumbled through a word-salad response, claiming that the President was talking about the importance of being a country of immigrants. This vague response does nothing to justify Biden’s unprovoked attack on our ally.
In reality, the United States is dealing with the consequences of a failed immigration policy. Gallup polls show that illegal immigration is the number one concern for Americans, and this issue has become even more pressing in recent years. From attacks on citizens and law enforcement to the overwhelming strain on our resources, it is clear that the United States needs to pay more attention to its own immigration policies before criticizing others.

President Biden’s comments about Japan’s immigration policies were not only false but also disrespectful to one of our closest allies. Japan has been a critical partner to the United States, and it is unacceptable for the President to insult their policies and meddle in their internal affairs.
