Tensions Rise in New Jersey School Board Race

Well, isn’t that convenient? Another “inclusive,” “tolerant,” “kindness-first” liberal campaign crumbling under the weight of its own hypocrisy. This time, it’s in Marlboro Township, New Jersey — where a text message scandal just blew the hinges off a local school board race that was supposed to be all about “responsible education.” Spoiler: it turned out to be about anything but.

Here’s the short version — or rather, the shocking one. Conservative mom of three and current school board member Danielle Bellomo finds herself the target of a disgusting group chat. In this digital cesspool, one of her opponents, Scott Semaya, is allegedly texting about Bellomo’s body — specifically, making an obscene comment about her “nps.” And if that wasn’t enough, the group chat’s name? **“ThisB*NeedsToDie.”

Yeah. That’s the name. And they say Republicans are the ones who spread hate.

The vice president of the school board, Chad Hyett, was allegedly in the chat too — along with another board member’s husband. Bellomo told the New York Post that the messages weren’t just immature, they were disturbing, even violent. She said some texts described “specific actions” the group wanted to take against her. And then she dropped the line that stopped everyone cold:

“These text messages are the first time I was able to see they don’t want me alive.”

That’s not politics. That’s sociopathy — dressed up in the language of “community progress.”

When the screenshots surfaced, the fallout was immediate. Both Semaya and his running mate, Melissa Goldberg, who campaigned under the innocuous-sounding “CORE” (Collaborators for Responsible Education), suddenly decided to “suspend” their campaigns. Goldberg blamed “other responsibilities.” Semaya cited “family circumstances.” Right. Because nothing says “family circumstances” like being caught talking about murdering your political opponent in a group chat.

Bellomo took the high road — posting on Facebook that “hate has no place in Marlboro,” and that she’s glad this “cycle of hate” has ended. It’s the kind of grace you never seem to get from the people who preach it the loudest.

Even the town’s Democrat mayor, Jonathan Hornik, stepped in to condemn the vile messages, saying those responsible “are clearly not equipped to hold public office.” Fair enough — though it’s worth noting that this sudden burst of moral clarity only seems to show up after the story hits the press.

Now, if this were an isolated case, maybe you could chalk it up to a few bad apples. But it’s not. Remember Democrat candidate Jay Jones in Virginia? He got caught texting about “two bullets to the head” for a Republican leader and fantasizing about desecrating the graves of conservatives. Or the horrifying murder of Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist gunned down on a college campus just weeks ago for daring to speak his mind.

It’s starting to look less like random incidents — and more like a pattern. A pattern where leftist “tolerance” turns vicious the moment a conservative refuses to bow down.

And let’s not forget, this isn’t some shadowy backroom of national politics — this is a school board race. The same people preaching about “safe spaces” and “anti-bullying” are literally texting each other about killing a mom of three because she’s too conservative for their taste.

But don’t expect a CNN panel to spend much time on this one. The narrative doesn’t fit. Because when hate and violence come from the left, the story just… evaporates.

And that’s exactly why this matters. It’s not just about one nasty group chat in a small New Jersey town — it’s about a culture that’s forgotten how to disagree without destroying.

So go ahead, tell us again about “kindness” and “inclusivity.” Because somewhere in Marlboro, a mom who stood up for her kids just got to see what that really looks like — up close, and in text form.
