Do you remember the cheerful and energetic Dolly Parton dancing to her popular song “9 to 5” in the iconic Hollywood movie of the same name? Well, she did it again, this time on a larger platform. The Country music superstar took the stage at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show during the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game against the Washington Commanders.

Parton’s performance rocked the stadium as she appeared on stage in a bedazzled version of the Cowboys’ cheerleader uniform. The outfit, which featured a white vest with blue stars, a chest-baring blue crop top, and white shorts, was a perfect fit for the rockstar theme of her recently released album, Rockstar. However, fans couldn’t help but notice the crystal-studded mesh on her belly, covering up her bare midriff. Nevertheless, Parton still managed to look stunning in her customized outfit.

The halftime show kicked off with Parton’s classic song “Jolene,” which immediately had the entire audience hooked. She then continued to entertain the crowd with another hit, “9 to 5,” from the movie of the same name. Parton also performed her cover of Queen’s “We are the Champions,” much to the delight of the fans.

The country singer-songwriter was announced as the halftime performer for this year’s Thanksgiving Day game last month. In a press statement, Parton expressed her honor in partnering with The Salvation Army, as the Red Kettle symbolizes hope for those facing difficult times. She also urged the audience to donate and support their neighbors in need during the holiday season.

However, Parton’s Thanksgiving performance was not the only thing fans were excited about. The 30-track album, Rockstar, features both covers and original songs, as well as collaborations with legendary artists such as Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Elton John, Pink, Brandi Carlile, Melissa Etheridge, and Sting, among others.

The album, which was released on November 17, includes a collaboration with Parton’s goddaughter, Miley Cyrus. The two joined forces to perform Cyrus’ hit song, “Wrecking Ball,” which Parton described in an Instagram video as having the same impact on her as Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” did the first time she heard it. Cyrus, on the other hand, shared her excitement at collaborating with Parton on social media, calling them “ROCKSTARS.”
