Sir Elton John was hospitalized in France on Sunday after an unfortunate fall in his home. The twenty-time Grammy Award winner and recipient of numerous other awards is known for his contributions to the world of music and philanthropy.

In July, he celebrated the final concert of his Historic three-year “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour. His fans and friends greeted the news of his health scare with concern, but thankfully, he was quickly discharged after being evaluated in good health.

John resides in a 1920s home in Nice, France, overlooking the gorgeous Mediterranean Sea. The “Summer House” has welcomed many notable guests, including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and actress Elizabeth Hurley.

In August, Elton John was spotted out to dinner with fellow actor Kevin Spacey in the area following his virtual testimony in Spacey’s sexual assault trial.

The 76-year-old rock icon and father of two, Zachary, 12, and Elijah, 10, with husband David Furnish, also owns homes in London and the United States. John was knighted in 1998 by Queen Elizabeth II for his incredible musical achievements. In 2020, he was appointed a member of the Order of the Companions of Honour by King Charles.

Touring over seven hundred concerts in eighty countries during the last decade, Elton John recently finished his farewell tour with a magical night, saying that he doesn’t think it will sink in for a while that he “is finally finished touring” and that he will miss his fans and their support that has humbled him forever.

We are glad Sir Elton John is in good health and thankful to have been blessed with his legendary music over the past decades. We send our best wishes to the Rocket Man for a speedy recovery and more of his fantastic music that’s sure to come in the future.
