A Florida woman is facing charges after a wild brawl erupted following a family event.

Tracy Lawson, 37, allegedly flew into a fit of rage after celebrating a cousin’s birthday at Da Cave Miami on Tuesday. According to a police report, the disagreement between Lawson and the victim continued on the way home, resulting in a physical altercation.

The victim, who is not identified in the report, claimed that Lawson began punching her while she was driving. When they arrived home, the victim expressed a desire to fight, which sparked a brawl between the two. But the insanity didn’t stop there.

As the two women fought, the victim’s 15-year-old son attempted to intervene. But his good intentions were met with a hot sauce bottle swung by Lawson, hitting him in the head and leaving a cut on his face.

However, that was just a precursor to what happened next.

Police say that after the teen was hit, the victim checked on him and was then attacked by Lawson once again. This time, Lawson grabbed the hot sauce bottle and slashed the victim’s face, causing a laceration on her right cheek.

According to Fox News,

“The victim stated that before she could get inside the doorway, the defendant (Lawson) charge(d) at her in an aggressive manner, knocking the victim to the ground and start[ing] to pull the victim’s hair,” Miami police said.

Police said that the victim got up to check on her son and Lawson “aggressively charged at her and slashed her in face with the broken hot sauce bottle, causing a laceration to appear on her right cheek.”

It’s safe to say this was not your average family gathering.

Lawson was arrested on Wednesday and charged with attempted aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor battery. She is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on an $8,500 bond.
