A fan at a pregame tailgate in Buffalo caught on fire after participating in a wild tradition of slamming each other through flaming tables. While the cold temperatures in Buffalo may have deterred some fans, these passionate supporters gathered in anticipation of the upcoming Detroit Lions vs. Buffalo Bills game.

The viral video that has taken the internet by storm shows a fan wearing a Detroit Lions sweater being held in a fireman’s carry before being slammed through a blazing plastic table on the bed of a pickup truck. The adrenaline-fueled moment quickly turned into a panic as the fan’s pants caught on fire upon impact with the table.

Despite the alarming situation, the fan appeared to be okay as he quickly got up and tried to put out the flames with the help of fellow tailgaters. The fan was seen franticly rolling on the ground before the clip ended.

This pregame practice of slamming each other through tables has become a tradition in Buffalo, and it seems that other fanbases around the NFL have also adopted it. However, this particular stunt takes it to a whole new level with the addition of fire, which raises safety concerns for all involved.

But, the fire incident was not the only thing that caught the attention of fans at the tailgate. The excitement of the upcoming game between the Lions and the Bills was palpable as fans cheered and celebrated their respective teams.

The Lions had plenty of reason to be excited as they had just advanced to the divisional round of the playoffs with a 31-23 win over the Buccaneers. This victory follows their first playoff win in 32 years and solidifies their position as a strong contender this season.

Their impressive 12-5 record in the regular season helped them secure the top spot in the NFC North and set them up for a postseason run. Quarterback Jared Goff led the team to victory, completing 22 of 27 passes for 277 yards and a touchdown.

Their next opponent will be the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship game, and the Lions will have to bring their A-game once again to secure a spot in the Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, the Bills were also gearing up for an important game as they faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship. With their eyes set on the Ravens in the next round, the Bills were determined to come out victorious and secure their spot in the Super Bowl.

As for the flaming table tradition, it remains to be seen if fans will continue to partake in such daring stunts. What’s the saying- “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes”? Well, one thing is for sure, this particular tailgate and the fire incident will forever be etched in the memories of those who were there to witness it.
