The New Role Confirmed

Beginning November 1, Karoline Leavitt is set to become an on-air contributor for Fox News. She leaves the Trump administration to focus on her young family. The move keeps her close to the center of Republican politics. She stepped down as President Trump’s top spokeswoman on August 27. Her departure was not an exit from his political orbit.

Leavitt is 29 years old and the youngest press secretary in history. She plans to return to MAGA Inc. after her time in the White House. This group is a super PAC aligned with President Trump. She previously worked there as a spokeswoman before joining the campaign.

What The Leaders Said

Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott praised Leavitt’s background in a statement. Scott noted that her firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail gives her a distinct understanding of today’s political landscape. This comment was first published by The New York Times. Leavitt will bring “the unique perspective and candor that defined my tenure with the Trump administration,” according to The Daily Caller.

President Trump also spoke about her new position. He stated she would “be one of my top outside advisors, and an influential voice within the Republican Party.” He added they will work to “defy History, and conclusively win the Midterm Elections.” Trump called her “one of the best White House Press Secretaries in the History of the Office.”

Leavitt’s Family Choice

Leavitt wrote on August 12 about her decision to leave the White House. She said she felt she could not be the best mom while working that job. She gave birth to her daughter Viviana on May 1. She and her husband Nicholas Riccio also have a young son. She wants to spend more time with her children now.

Her career path shows rapid rise through Republican circles. She served as an assistant press secretary during Trump’s first term. She later became communications director for Rep. Elise Stefanik. Leavitt ran for Congress in New Hampshire in 2022 but lost.

A History Of Press Secretaries

Leavitt is not the first former press secretary to join Fox News. Dana Perino joined the network after working for President George W. Bush. Kayleigh McEnany also joined after a short stint as Trump’s press secretary. Both women became regular faces on the channel. Leavitt brings a similar blend of insider access and media presence.

She will start her new job on the first day of November. Fox News aims to use her experience to cover upcoming elections. Her role will include providing analysis on the political landscape. The network expects her to be a key voice for the party. This move solidifies her position as a top advisor outside the White House.
