A 35-year-old woman from Minnesota has sparked a wave of online jokes after her arrest photo went viral. Cyrena Anne Quast was taken into custody for stealing items from a store in Monticello. The image released by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office shows a striking likeness to pop star Jennifer Lopez.

The Arrest Details

Quast allegedly took two double packs of power tool batteries worth about $580 from the shop. A store employee spotted her and called the police after recognizing her from a theft two days prior. The criminal complaint obtained by The Watch MN states she admitted to the act. She was booked on a gross misdemeanor theft charge and released the next day.

Records show this was not her first legal trouble. Online arrest listings indicate prior offenses including drug possession, a DWI, and fleeing from police. She also has a history of traffic infractions and providing false identification. Despite these past issues, the public focus remains on her appearance in the booking photo.

Social Media Reactions

Users on social media immediately noticed the resemblance to the 57-year-old international superstar. Many claimed they initially thought the mugshot was actually the famous singer. One user wrote, “For a moment I thought it was jlo lmao,” while another joked, “There’s a glitch in the matrix lol.” The comments section quickly filled with references to Lopez’s 2002 hit song.

People began twisting the lyrics of “Jenny from the Block” to fit the situation. One comment read, “In prison she’s known as Jenny from D-Block!,” and another snarked, “Jenny been walking the block too much.” Others played on the idea of a lost twin. One user wrote, “JENNIFER IF YOU DONT COME CLAIM YOUR SISTER RIGHT NEEOWWWWWWWW & DO THIS DNA TESTTTT. Do it for us. dis yo sistaaaaa gurlllllllllll.”

The Public Discourse

The story spread quickly across various platforms after the mugshot was posted online. The New York Post reported on the viral nature of the image and the specific comments from users. The online conversation focuses entirely on the visual similarity rather than the crime itself. Quast’s mugshot has drawn massive attention from people who are sharing it widely.
