The latest Netflix event, The Roast of Tom Brady, aired on Sunday night and drew in a large audience. However, it seems that the streaming giant decided to cut out a controversial moment during the show.

According to reports, Netflix edited out the audience booing as Kim Kardashian took the stage. This caused quite a stir among viewers, with many questioning why the reaction was not shown. The disclaimer that now appears on the streamer claims that the special was edited from a previous live stream, and the boos were removed along with Kevin Hart’s attempt to calm the crowd.

During her time on stage, Kardashian proved to be a good sport overall, even addressing rumors that she and Tom Brady were once dating. She referenced her infamous sex tape and joked that she may still make out with Brady at the after-party.

However, there were some subjects that were off-limits for the comedians taking part in the roast. Nikki Glaser revealed that they collectively decided not to involve Brady’s children in their jokes, as they did not want to throw them under the bus. This decision was made out of respect for the children, who did not ask to be part of the show’s target.

One subject that was touched on by Glaser, though, was Brady’s high-profile breakup with model and actress Bridget Moynahan. The comedian made a quip about Brady having a hard time walking away from something that is not his pregnant girlfriend, referencing his decision to retire and then come out of retirement.

During the roast, comedian Jeff Ross also took a swipe at Patriots CEO Robert Kraft, making light of his 2020 solicitation charges. However, it seems that Tom Brady took offense to the joke and asked Ross not to say it again. Ross respected Brady’s request and noted that Kraft was having fun in the audience.

For those who may not be aware, in 2020, Florida prosecutors dropped charges against Robert Kraft for allegedly soliciting prostitution at a day spa. The court tossed out video and audio surveillance of Kraft allegedly soliciting a woman, leading to the charges being dropped.

Overall, The Roast of Tom Brady was a hit among viewers, drawing in a large audience and sparking conversations about the controversial moments that were edited out. It seems that Netflix may have wanted to avoid any backlash by removing these moments, but some viewers are calling for the original version to be released. Only time will tell if any further edits or cuts will be made to the special in the future.
