President Comments on CNN, New York Times

Oh, here we go again.

The media’s pearl-clutching panic button just got another workout — and this time, it’s because Donald Trump dared to criticize the sacred cow known as the “Fourth Estate.” The horror! The gall! Imagine the former President suggesting that, just maybe, CNN and The New York Times aren’t exactly bastions of truth and integrity. Welcome to Tuesday, folks.

At a Cabinet meeting that felt more like a live fire drill for media accountability, Trump didn’t just call out the usual suspects — he straight-up torched them. CNN and The Times took direct hits over their coverage of the strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

According to Trump, instead of celebrating the strategic win, these outlets tried to downplay the success, with carefully worded speculation like “set back for months, not years.” Gosh, don’t strain your backs with all that bending over to soften the narrative.

Trump said the pilots who pulled off the mission were “downbeat” after hearing this nonsense. Think about that for a second. Our military — the best in the world — executes a high-risk operation, and instead of getting a unified pat on the back, they’re treated to a mopey, shoulder-shrugging headline. That’s what passes for journalism now? Not surprise, not support, not gratitude — just nitpicking wrapped in a press pass.

And then Trump went nuclear. Figuratively. “Fire her,” he said about the Times reporter. “Real fake.” Say what you want about the man, but nobody’s ever accused him of mincing words. He congratulated the pilots — because, you know, someone should — and then did what almost no one in Washington ever does: told the truth about the media, out loud, in public.

And that’s what really burns them up.

Trump laid it bare. The media’s at 17% approval — that’s worse than Congress. Yet they strut around like they’re the guardians of democracy, when in reality, most Americans trust their used car salesman more than a talking head on primetime.

And Trump? He says it’s time for changes. Not tweaks. Not “reforms.” Changes. Structural, hard-hitting, long-overdue changes. Think that’s “authoritarian”? Please. Holding professional liars accountable is not tyranny — it’s sanity.

But that wasn’t all. Trump took it a step further, hinting that he might sue these outlets. That’s right. Legal action. Oh, cue the collective liberal fainting spells. How dare someone question their First Amendment immunity cloak? But let’s be real: the press isn’t “reporting” anymore — they’re editorializing, selectively framing, and deliberately misleading. And if there’s one thing we’ve learned since 2016, it’s that these people don’t self-correct. They double down. They lie louder.

Then came the rhetorical gut punch: “Why would you want open borders? Why would you want men playing women’s sports?” These aren’t rhetorical questions — they’re indictments. Because no one pushing these things actually explains them. They just shame you for asking. Trump’s not buying it, and neither are millions of Americans who still have common sense and working televisions.

And then — boom — he shifted gears like only Trump can. From media corruption to geopolitical chess, dropping a brutal, uncomfortable truth: Putin saw Afghanistan. He saw weakness. He saw incompetence. And he moved. The talking heads can scoff, but ask yourself this: Would Putin have tried this during Trump’s presidency?

Now here’s the kicker. Trump’s not just venting. He’s hinting. Strategizing. He said changes will be made. He’s not whispering into the void — he’s building a case. For what, exactly?

Well… that’s the part they really don’t want you thinking about.
