California Governor Gavin Newsom can’t catch a break — and if the past few weeks are any indication, he’s not just losing control of his state, he’s rapidly becoming a punchline both at home and abroad.
After overseeing years of economic decline, sky-high homelessness, disastrous wildfires, and a taxpayer-funded high-speed rail project that’s still going nowhere, Newsom decided to ditch the mess he helped create and jet off to Davos to mingle with global elites at the World Economic Forum.
That’s where things got really humiliating.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent didn’t hold back. He publicly tore into Newsom’s track record, calling out California’s crumbling economy, mass exodus of businesses and residents, and the governor’s tone-deaf priorities. The slam was so brutal it went viral, with Bessent describing Newsom as “Patrick Bateman meets Sparkle Beach Ken” — a savage one-liner that landed like a punch to the gut.
Then came another blow: Newsom was reportedly *barred* from delivering his planned speech at the USA House pavilion. That slot instead went to President Donald Trump, who used the moment to project American strength and leadership, clearly reasserting who’s in charge on the global stage. Newsom, the wannabe world leader, was left sitting in the audience while Trump dominated the room.
The truth hits the streets.

Now, back home, the ridicule continues.
New street art popping up in California shows Newsom reimagined as “Comrade Newsom,” decked out in communist garb. It’s a brutal jab — and it’s spreading fast. Many believe it’s the work of conservative guerilla artist Sabo, known for his scathing visual takedowns of left-wing figures. If so, this is right in line with his previous work mocking Biden, Hollywood elites, and Democrat donors.
Some are linking the artwork to Peter Schweizer’s new best-selling book The Invisible Coup, which details how foreign powers, particularly China, are exploiting America’s broken immigration system. Schweizer warns of a “Manchurian Generation” — over a million Chinese-born U.S. citizens who could sway elections by 2030 — and details how Chinese nationals are being trained as pilots on U.S. soil. The eerie alignment between the book’s themes and the imagery of “Comrade Newsom” isn’t lost on those paying attention.
Tells you all you need to know about @GavinNewsom‘s true allegiance…
Indeed – Newsom is the Soviet star in the Marxist globalists vision to return the world to Futile Mercantilism…. https://t.co/C3MrU4TMKH— Tony Shaffer 🇺🇲☢️ (@tspooky) January 21, 2026
And it all brings back memories of when Newsom cleaned up San Francisco’s filthy streets — not for the people who live there, but for a photo op with Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2023. As soon as Xi left, the filth came back. That’s Newsom in a nutshell: performance over substance.
Newsome is a billionaire class Democrat who doesnt know what hes doing. His billionaire friends use him as their Trojan Horse to do for the USA what he did in California. pic.twitter.com/3BjIGHl2dx

If this is Sabo’s work, it’s a reminder that political art still has teeth — and Newsom may want to brace for more sharp jabs, because the hits keep coming.
