Police in Slovenia are investigating the theft of a bronze statue of First Lady Melania Trump.

Police were informed of the theft Tuesday, per CNN. The statue was erected in the village of Rozno. The stolen statue replaced a wooden statue that was damaged by arsonists.

Details of the theft were scant on Friday.

According to police spokesperson Alenka Drenik Rangus, Friday, officers “conducted an inspection of the crime scene and collected information. The investigating judge and the district state prosecutor were informed about the theft.”

Watch:

Only the feet and ankles remain on a tree trunk, which was located beside a river near Sevnica.

This isn’t the first time there have been issues with a statue of the First Lady there.

In 2020, vandals set a wooden stone fire. That statue was then displayed at an art gallery later that year. It was also part of an exhibition in Croatia in 2023.
