Trump Overlooked for Nobel Peace Prize Again

Oh, now this is rich.

A woman who’s literally risking her life in hiding, after being chased down by a socialist dictatorship, just won the Nobel Peace Prize—and instead of thanking the usual cast of EU bureaucrats or some UN think tank, she dedicates it to… Donald J. Trump.

Yeah, that Trump. The one the media’s been trying to cancel since 2015. The one who, according to half of D.C., is “too dangerous” to be allowed a Twitter account, let alone the nuclear codes. Yet here we are, watching María Corina Machado, Venezuela’s fiercest opposition voice, thank him publicly for his “decisive support” in her people’s fight for freedom.

So where’s the applause from the left? If they every decided to lay down their pride for one second, they might notice that a woman just thanked Trump for standing up to actual fascism. Not your garden-variety CNN brand of “fascism” where someone misgenders you on TikTok, but the kind where secret police throw your friends in jail for voting the wrong way. Funny how that part didn’t make it into the New York Times push notification.

But let’s get something straight—this wasn’t just a sweet little thank-you note. This was a political hand grenade, lobbed right into the lap of the Nobel Committee, who just tried to walk the tightrope of honoring democracy in Venezuela without giving Trump any credit. Machado didn’t let them. She forced the global elites to confront an uncomfortable reality: the man they love to hate might actually be doing the job they only pretend to do.

And if you think that triggered the swamp, buckle up.

Within hours, the White House trotted out Steven Cheung to slam the Nobel Committee for “placing politics over peace.” Not exactly subtle. Trump’s supporters aren’t just mad that he didn’t win the award—they’re pointing out the fact that he’s the one making actual peace deals while the international left throws parades for itself.

Here’s the kicker: the nomination deadline for the 2025 Peace Prize was January 31st, just days after Trump was sworn in for his second term. So yeah, technically he wasn’t eligible. But since then, he’s pulled off what the Biden administration couldn’t do in four years of “strategic patience”—he got Israel and Hamas to agree to the first phase of a ceasefire. The Trump Peace Plan, a 20-point juggernaut of negotiations, forced both sides to the table. Yet somehow, not worthy of a shiny medal?

Let that sink in: Trump helps bring a ceasefire to the world’s most volatile powder keg, and the Nobel Committee gives the award to someone who immediately turns around and thanks him. You can’t make this up.

And it gets even better. Machado is still in hiding. The woman who just won the most prestigious peace prize in the world is being hunted by a regime that faked an election, jailed her allies, and exiled the actual winner, Edmundo González, to Spain. González was her handpicked successor, after Maduro’s goons barred her from running. But sure, tell us more about how democracy dies in darkness—just don’t shine any light on Venezuela.

Meanwhile, Trump’s not just watching this play out—he’s in the mix. He increased sanctions, placed a $50 million bounty on Maduro’s head, and continues to make his presence known in Latin American affairs. And while the State Department politely “condemns” election irregularities, Trump drops the hammer.

It’s almost like… leadership matters.

So here’s the story they don’t want you to hear: The Nobel Peace Prize just accidentally validated Donald Trump. Again. And no matter how much spin the media throws at it, the truth’s already out—Machado said the quiet part out loud.

Trump may not have gotten the medal, but make no mistake… he just stole the show.
