Trump Criticizes Frey and Walz After Border Incident

President Donald Trump came out swinging Saturday after a Border Patrol-involved fatal shooting in Minneapolis, accusing Democrat leaders of abandoning federal agents and allowing chaos to fester under their watch.

The incident — which occurred during a Department of Homeland Security “targeted operation” for a violent illegal immigrant — turned deadly when a second man reportedly approached Border Patrol agents with a semi-automatic handgun. The 37-year-old white male was fatally shot. DHS confirmed the operation targeted an individual “wanted for violent assault.”

Trump wasted no time responding.

“This is the gunman’s gun, loaded (with two additional full magazines!), and ready to go,” Trump posted on Truth Social, alongside a photo of the weapon. “Where are the local Police? Why weren’t they allowed to protect ICE Officers? The Mayor and the Governor called them off?”

Citing reports that federal agents were left to defend themselves, Trump questioned whether state and city officials intentionally pulled back law enforcement. He accused Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Governor Tim Walz of abandoning their duty and escalating unrest.

“It is stated that many of these Police were not allowed to do their job,” Trump wrote. “ICE had to protect themselves — not an easy thing to do!”

But the president didn’t stop at the shooting. He turned up the heat on a broader scandal brewing in Minnesota — the alleged theft of billions in taxpayer funds, reportedly linked to fraudulent welfare schemes and tied to the state’s massive Somali refugee population.

“Why does Ilhan Omar have $34 Million Dollars in her account?” Trump asked, referencing the far-Left congresswoman. “And where are the Tens of Billions of Dollars that have been stolen from the once Great State of Minnesota?”

Trump framed the situation as a full-scale cover-up to distract from what he called one of the largest frauds in U.S. history.

“This is no different than a really big Bank Robbery,” he said. “We want the money back, and we want it back, NOW… Those Fraudsters who stole the money are going to jail, where they belong!”

He accused Frey and Walz of “inciting Insurrection” with their “pompous, dangerous, and arrogant rhetoric,” and demanded accountability.

“LET OUR ICE PATRIOTS DO THEIR JOB!” Trump declared, warning that 12,000 illegal alien criminals — many of them violent — have already been removed from Minnesota, and without those actions, the current crisis would be even worse. The Biden administration has not issued a public response as of press time.
