The United Arab Emirates has committed to a $1.4 trillion investment into the U.S. which will spread out across the next ten years the White House announced Friday.

According to The Hill, the Trump administration said the investment framework “will substantially increase the UAE’s existing investments in the U.S. economy in AI infrastructure, semiconductors, energy, and American manufacturing.”

The deal was made while the UAE’s national security adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed and the heads of the UAE sovereign wealth funds and corporations, met with President Donald Trump earlier this week at the Oval Office.

ADQ, a UAE investment fund, and Energy Capital Partners announced a $25 billion investment into energy infrastructure and data centers.

Trump took to Truth Social to announce the meeting Tuesday and noted that it demonstrated the strong ties between the U.S. and the UAE.

“Tonight, in the White House, I warmly welcomed UAE National Security Advisor H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan to meetings and a dinner with many notable, senior U.S. officials,” Trump said. “The evening demonstrated the long-standing ties and bonds of friendship between our countries. UAE and the U.S. have long been partners in the work to bring peace and security to the Middle East and the World. Discussions also included ways for our countries to increase our partnership for the advancing of our economic and technological futures.”

Investment company XRG, owned by the state-run Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. has further committed to supporting natural gas production in the U.S., as well as investing into exports. The company further noted it has additional plans to “make substantial investments” in gas, chemicals, and energy.

The White House said domestic aluminum production would be doubled after Emirates Global Aluminum revealed plans to invest into new aluminum smelters in the U.S.

“These significant investments underscore the close ties between the United States and the United Arab Emirates,” the White House said.
