A shocking incident has been revealed in North Carolina, as a young man was caught red-handed taking an upskirt video of a Target customer.
Thomas Ryan Elliott, only 21 years old, was arrested at a Target store in Greenville after being caught in the act. This disturbing act, caught on camera, has sent shockwaves through the community.
The victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, has bravely come forward to speak about her terrifying experience. She recounts the moment she realized she was being recorded, saying, “No matter how much you try to think you’re going to be prepared for it, it kind of throws you through a loop when it actually happens.”
Thankfully, another vigilant customer caught Elliot in the act and had the presence of mind to film him. The footage, which has been circulating on social media, shows Elliot crouching behind the victim, surreptitiously placing his phone under her skirt. This type of disgusting behavior cannot be tolerated.
Even more disturbing, Elliot is a volunteer at a local elementary school. It is sickening to think that this man had access to innocent children. He may have even used his volunteer position to take more inappropriate videos.
The school district has taken swift action, stating that Elliot will not be returning as a volunteer or employee. Parents have a right to know that their children are safe at school and it is the responsibility of the school to ensure this is the case.
However, what is even more concerning is that Elliot appears to be a member of a local church and was recently baptized. How can someone profess to be a follower of God, all while perpetrating such vile acts? The church has also taken action, stating that Elliot is no longer permitted on their properties. One can only hope that he seeks help and redemption for his actions.
It is a sad reality that we live in a society where a woman cannot even feel safe shopping in a store. The fact that this man was caught so easily raises concerns about how often this type of behavior occurs.
