Will Elon Ever Get In The Cage With Zuckerberg?

In an unexpected twist to the online tech industry, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Tesla CEO Elon Musk are locked in a public exchange over a proposed cage fight.

Musk initially challenged Zuckerberg to a fight in June of 2023, prompting Zuckerberg to reply with, “Send me location”.

Earlier this month, Musk announced that the fight would be live-streamed on Twitter and all proceeds would go to charity for veterans, but Zuckerberg has since questioned the reliability of this platform.

The exchange has inspired speculation among followers of both tech giants. Musk tweeted about a sumo wrestling bout that caused him “eight years of mega back pain.”

At the same time, Zuckerberg is a devotee of mixed martial arts and has posted pictures of himself training with MMA professionals. However, the public is unsure if this is a genuine challenge or a display of online bravado.

The specifics of the fight are still unclear, though Musk recently stated that he may require surgery before the fight can take place. Additionally, Zuckerberg commented that he suggested August 26 as the date for the contest, yet Musk has not confirmed.

“I’m ready today. I suggested August 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath,” Zuckerberg said on his Threads app.

Whether or not this event will come to fruition remains to be seen. It is perhaps one of the strangest exchanges between the tech giants seen in recent times.

For now, the public will have to wait and see if the proposed fight escalates into a severe event or remains a mere online jousting match between two of the most powerful men in tech.
