A viral AI-generated campaign video portraying Spencer Pratt as a Batman-style vigilante battling Los Angeles’ political establishment is drawing widespread attention online as the mayoral race enters its final stretch before the June 2 primary.
The cinematic clip, inspired heavily by dark Hollywood superhero films, presents Los Angeles as a crumbling dystopia overrun by crime, homelessness and political dysfunction. Pratt, the reality TV personality turned mayoral candidate, appears as the city’s unlikely savior, while incumbent Mayor Karen Bass is depicted in Joker-like makeup as the film’s central villain.
The video was created by filmmaker Charles Curran, who says he works with Menace, a private production company focused on AI-generated visuals and synthetic media. After posting the clip to X, formerly Twitter, Curran wrote: “LA is worth saving. Vote Spencer Pratt.” Pratt later reshared the video to his own account, helping it spread rapidly online.
The ad opens with scenes of wealthy political elites attending an extravagant Victorian-style banquet while ordinary residents beg for help outside. California Gov. Gavin Newsom is shown eating cake while a fictionalized version of former Vice President Kamala Harris drinks from a bottle at the table. Socialist city councilmember and mayoral challenger Nithya Raman is portrayed as a puppet controlled by unseen strings.
Throughout the clip, distressed Angelenos plead for relief from rising crime, homelessness, and public safety concerns. In one scene, a resident begs for safer streets near schools before being shoved aside by heavily armored agents wearing Democratic Socialists of America insignia, referencing Raman’s political ties.

The video also references the devastating January 2025 wildfires that destroyed thousands of homes across Los Angeles, including Pratt’s own residence in the Pacific Palisades. One character says, “I just want to rebuild my home. It’s been over a year,” before Pratt dramatically appears in superhero gear to confront the city’s political leadership.
The final sequence shows AI-generated crowds pelting Bass, Newsom and Harris with tomatoes as Pratt leads the rebellion.
Despite its exaggerated style and satirical tone, the video has attracted praise from across the political spectrum. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush called it “the best political ad of the year” in a post on X, noting that the clip was not officially produced by Pratt’s campaign.
Conservative commentator Jennifer Van Laar also praised the production quality and viral appeal, writing that the fact it was independently created made it “even more amazing.”
The video has now surpassed 3.5 million views online, reflecting both the growing influence of AI-generated political media and the unusual nature of this year’s Los Angeles mayoral race.
The California Post reported that it reached out to Pratt’s campaign and the politicians featured in the video for comment.
The mayoral primary election will take place on June 2. If no candidate receives more than 50% of the vote, the top two finishers will move on to a runoff election in November.
